The New Generation – The role in game which you will play is that of John Morris or Eric Lecarde, both of whom are on a mission to slay Dracula and send him back to his gravesite.

The game is six levels long and starts in Castle Dracula in Romania and takes you across many famous European settings like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, the Atlantis Shrine in Greece, as well as across Germany, France and other areas of Italy. Although six levels may seem short at first, they are long and not so easy to get through without wanting to rip your controller apart. There is great variety between them and each character’s path differs slightly from the another. This adds much to the game’s replay value as both John and Eric each have their own unique ending, which is determined by the difficulty level you choose.

Take all of the action from the hit movie of the some name, subtract the romance, and you’ve got one of the most exciting games ever encountered.

Take charge of gun toting Arnie in this top down omni-scrolling action shooter. Arnie takes on the terrorists using a variety of weapons in all the locations from the movie of the same name. In each location you have a mission such as retrieve data or capture a terrorist. This usually involves searching around for your goal while dispatching enemies and trying to minimise civilian casualties. The emphasis is on action and weapons, in particular Arnold’s favourites: flame thrower and the uzi. He also has a diving roll to help him dodge the enemies bullets and come back guns blazing..

Melbourne’s very own Beam software has done a fabulous job converting all the action sequences from the movie into the game. The action follows the movie closely, with a few extra levels thrown in for good measure. True Lies game is a top-down shoot-’em-up adventure, sort of like Commando with mission briefings or the on-foot sections of Urban Strike. You control Harry Tasker (Arnie) and begin where the film does in a Swiss chateau. Harry has to connect a modem to a PC in order to get information on bad-boy Crimson Jihad. To get to the computer
, Harry must terminate lots of baddies but avoid popping any of the waiters or party guests. After downloading the information, it’s time to get out of the chateau and head down the slopes towards your buddy Gib (Tom Arnold) who is waiting in a nearby truck. Tom gives you instructions as you complete each mission, and unfortunately isn’t afraid to give the odd sarcastic wisecrack as well

The game is based on the popular manga/anime series of the same name. The heroine of the series is a 14-year-old schoolgirl named Serena (Usagi in the Japanese version). One day she encounters a magical talking cat named Luna, who tells her she has been chosen to be a Sailor Moon fighter, to find the lost Princess of the Moon Kingdom and to fight the forces of darkness lead by the evil Queen Beryl.

This adaptation of the story is a beat-’em-up game. You can control either Serena herself or one of her Sailor Moon companions. Each girl has different strengths and special attacks. You advance in the game by moving on a platform and defeating the enemies you encounter. You can’t move on if you haven’t defeated all the enemies that keep coming at you.
